 Rhona Richards
Artistic Director

Rhona was born and educated in Jersey. She studied English and Drama at Exeter University and worked in theatre and television before re-training as a barrister. She practiced in London, specialising in child protection, before moving to Jersey and qualifying as a Jersey Advocate. From 2007 – 2012 Rhona was a Trustee of the Jersey Arts Trust (now ArtHouse Jersey), serving as Vice Chair for two years. In 2012 a move to Luxembourg allowed Rhona to return to her theatrical roots and she became an Artistic Associate with the professional theatre company, The Story In Motion Project. www.storyinmotionproject.com.

 

Rhona returned to Jersey in 2016 and founded the charity Jersey Youth Performing Arts (JYPA) JYPA’s objective is to increase inclusivity in the performing arts by offering young people between the ages of 9 and 18 the opportunity to take part in workshops and productions free of charge. For JYPA Rhona has written and directed original adaptions of A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Romeo and Juliet. She also wrote and produced the cabaret musical School Daze, directed and produced Grease and wrote the original script for Ghost Stories by Candlelight. In addition to her role as producer and director, Rhona is also responsible for JYPA’s ongoing charitable and NPO status and the groups written constitution, safeguarding policy, data protection policy and casting practice policy. 

 

Rhona is also the Artistic Director of Feisty Goat Theatre Company, an independent theatre company based in Jersey which provides opportunities for local performers who have trained or worked professional to showcase their talent. Feisty Goat focuses on modern plays which explore the intimate dynamics of relationships, most recently producing Jim Cartwright’s, Two, Mike Bartlett’s Contractions, Charlotte Jones’ Airswimming and Much Ado About Shakespeare

 

Rhona is currently studying for an MA in English and Drama at Warwick University.

Annigna Kennedy
Artistic Associate

Originally from Basel, Switzerland, Annigna has an MA in Acting, Stage and Television from the Bavarian Academy Theatre August Everding in Munich. She is also a two-time recipient of the Migros Culture Fund Switzerland Award. 

 

Annigna is fluent in English, French, Spanish and Swiss German and has played leading roles in major theatres in Munich, Basel and Zurich. Annigna is also an accomplished screen actor with credits in many European films and television programmes 

 

In 2011 Annigna started the film company, Little River Pictures, with her husband and fellow filmmaker, Tom Kennedy. Little River creates film and full-length documentaries and has a particular interest in human interest stories. Little River Films work regularly with Jersey Heritage and The National Trust for Jersey. 

 

With Little River Pictures, Annigna has collaborated with Jersey Youth Performing Arts, creating visuals for Ghost Stories by Candlelight and running screen acting workshops for young people aged 14 – 18 years.
